The Flushing Police Department, in partnership with the community, works to provide ethical and professional law enforcement service.  We strive to maintain the trust and confidence of our citizens while working to improve the quality of life.

The Flushing Police Department is a full service police agency providing patrol coverage 24 hours a day.  Criminal incidents are investigated by a detective who is assisted by the responding officers.  Office hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.   The Police Department is located at 725 E. Main Street in the Flushing City Hall.  Information can be obtained by calling 810-659-3119 during office hours.

The City of Flushing is participating with the Genesee County 9-1-1 Consortium to provide the "Code Red" notification system.  Code Red has a database of land line phone numbers.  This system will be used to call and provide a recorded message in the event of an emergency in your neighborhood.  Residents of Flushing can also register e-mail accounts and cell phone numbers to receive emergency notifications through their e-mail accounts and text or recorded messages through their cell phones.  General notifications, such as road closures due to water main breaks, parades, or other community issues that may impact your living experience in Flushing can be provided in a message.  By registering, residents will also receive notifications regarding dangerous weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service.
